BREAKFAST

Option #1:  6:30-7:30 AM
You may bring your own food, and serve it to your child using our milk, bowls, and utensils.  The microwave is not available to parents.  Please bring healthy items.  We have a “No Sugar Treat” Policy; please do not send candy, doughnuts, soda, Pop Tarts, or similar high-sugar content breakfast food.  Not only is it not good for them, but it also causes problems with other children.

LUNCH

Each morning teachers take a count of students who wish to purchase lunch, and that list is sent to the cook.  If your child arrives late to school, please go to the kitchen and tell the cook if you want to buy school lunch that day.  School lunch will be available ONLY by purchasing a Meal Ticket.  We have discontinued the practice of purchasing just a single day’s meal.  Meal Tickets are kept by the cook, and the date is stamped on the child’s Meal Ticket.  You may purchase a full or half Meal Ticket.

Half Meal Ticket = 10 Lunches     $41.00  ($40.00 cash discount)    
Full Meal Ticket = 20 Lunches      $82.00   ($80.00 cash discount)

To purchase a Meal Ticket, please put your check in the check box outside the office. You may include the purchase of a Meal Ticket with your tuition check.  Please write Meal Ticket for (child’s name) on the “Memo” line.  A notification will be placed in the Elementary School Card File, by the sign-out sheet, when a Meal Ticket has less than 3 meals remaining.  Any unused credit on a Meal Ticket will be refunded upon request. 

SNACK

A number of parents who do not purchase school lunch have requested us to sell milk, juice, or a snack.  (Milk is included in the purchased school lunch.)  The cost is 65 cents an item.   Some of the items we have for sale are:
               6 oz. 2% fat milk
               6.75-8.45 oz. cartons 100% fruit juice
               Healthy Trail Mix Bars
               Peanut Butter Crackers
               Raisins
               Assorted Pre-Packaged Fruit Cups
               Assorted Pre-Packaged Chips and Crackers

Payment Option #1:
               Cash when child purchases; exact change greatly preferred.

Payment Option #2:
Purchase a Snack Card for $15.00 CASH ONLY.  This will cover 23 items.  We will give no more than 1 drink and 1 snack per recess unless you instruct us otherwise.  Students have two snack times a day.  Snack items, other than milk, cannot be purchased for lunch.  We will date stamp the day your child purchases a snack.  The completed snack card will be placed in the PICK UP NOTE box when 23 snacks have been purchased.  Any unused credit on a Snack Card will be refunded upon request.
